Honji is spending his summer in Kamanori: a small town famous for two things, award-winning prep courses and snow that never melts. He planned to keep his head down and study.
Then the bodies start turning up. Now he has to solve it — while somehow still having a summer.
Honji planned to keep his head down until college. Kamanori had other ideas. Eight of the people you meet can be romanced — seven women and one man — each with their own hangouts, gifts and route.
You guide Honji through Kamanori one decision at a time, and they carry: into your relationships, into what you get told about the murders, and into which of the seven endings you reach.
Every character brings their own minigame, and they pop up when you least expect to be doing anything but reading. Win, and they warm to you. Every one has an assist mode with its own difficulty sliders.
The first two chapters, about an hour and a half. Kamanori, the people in it, and the moment the summer stops being about studying.
